About OwnerNumbers
OwnerNumbers builds plain-English financial tools for small business owners — the people who run trades shops, agencies, restaurants, manufacturers, and online stores doing somewhere between $250K and $10M in revenue.
Most financial calculators give you a number. That's the easy part — the math hasn't changed in fifty years. The hard part is knowing whether your number is good or bad for your kind of business, why it is what it is, and what to do this week if it's not where it should be. That's what we try to do here.
Every calculator on this site does three things: computes the ratio, compares it to a benchmark for businesses like yours, and gives you a plain-English diagnosis with concrete next steps. No signup, no email gate, no popups. You can print or export a PDF and take it to your accountant or banker.
What this is not
Not financial advice, not legal advice, not tax advice. We don't recommend stocks, lenders, or accountants. We don't run ads, we don't sell your data, and we don't sell affiliate placements dressed up as recommendations. The free calculators stay free. There will eventually be a paid Toolkit for owners who want a deeper diagnostic and saved projects, but the calculators themselves will always be open and ungated.
Who this is for
Owner-operators of small businesses who feel a low-grade dread every time they open their P&L. People whose accountant tells them everything is "fine" without explaining what that means. Anyone who wants to read their own numbers without earning an MBA first.
It's deliberately not for finance students, professional CFOs, or people looking for personal-finance or investment advice. There are good resources for those audiences — this isn't one of them.
